No. Mass Class Actions is a database community.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A CLASS ACTION CASE?
Some class action settlements offer Class Members compensation as well as injunctive relief. Injunctive relief is a type of legal remedy that requires a defendant named in a civil lawsuit to stop a certain action or behavior. This action is taken to help people who have been injured by past bad acts while changing future action.
WHY MASS CLASS ACTION?

If your complaint is that your sub is 11.5” instead of 12” MCA might not be the right community for you.  MSC because T.G.I.F:

T:  Time is not on your side.  It starts ticking as soon as a wrong is committed against you and many offenses have a 1-year window in which you must file suit.

G:  Golden Rules cannot be invoked in court proceedings. Really. The court and jury are not there to “put themselves in your shoes or treat you as they would like to be treated.”

I:   Individuals going it alone against a company or gov’t entity faces intense odds and personal scrutiny.      Individuals going it alone must rely on a jury often made up of the peers of the entity they are attempting to sue; entities that employ their family, friends, or that sponsors their kid’s sport’s teams. Members of the jury may attend church with the Defendants. Companies and Gov’t Agencies have deep pockets, which can be used to drag out the process.  Suits filed by Individuals are often dismissed.  Appeals, if successful, are costly and may lead to a trial in about 9 years.

F:  Fighting the wrongs committed against you is most effective when multiple people make similar claims against a company or entity; especially in the face of juries comprised of majority race members.

WHAT DOES MASS CLASS ACTION DO?

MCA hosts a nationwide resource that allows users to share information about experiences with hostile companies or entities with available resources. This data allows users to search for and investigate patterns relative to applicable state and federal laws and best practices.  Successful class action lawsuits assist defendants by encouraging them to realize, and perhaps reconsider their hostile, illegal and, or assaultive behavior while offering tangible and intangible benefits to affected consumers.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

It will not cost you any money to participate in a class action lawsuit investigation or lawsuit. It is, however, important for participants to promptly reply to any communications from the attorneys.  Failure to respond may result in the loss of representation.

WHAT IS AN INVESTIGATION?

Detailed research and review of data, to include police reports, witness statements, and other documents designed to uncover facts relative to specific cases and issues.

WHY ARE COMMUNITIES AND AGENTS A CATEGORY?

Some communities have a long history of being hostile spaces. Courts and Companies are manned by a community of people, also known as Employees or Agents. Courts, Corporate Headquarters, and other Government entities are most often located in geographical areas with a history of hostility – this population represents the jury pool.

When a company or entity is sued, “Scope of Employment” and “Policies and Procedures” or “Sovereign   Immunity” are often invoked. Using PCC and Judge Ash as an example, Judge Ash was an Employee or Agent functioning in a Gov’t Agency (Court), in a historically hostile space, Murfreesboro, Rutherford County TN.  Some believe suing Agents as part of a Class Action is the way to cover all your bases, as Agents sometime have considerable assets.

WHAT IF THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS HAS PASSED ON MY CLAIM?

Statues of Limitations vary, dependent, on a variety of factors, to include the industry or area of business in which the entity operates.  Applicable statues of limitations are researched to determine this information. Even if the statute of limitations has run on your individual claim, you should still enter the details of your experience into the database as it may help establish a pattern of behavior on the part of the company or entity. Together we can hold companies accountable for their wrongdoing!!

WHAT IS MULTIDISTRICT LITIGATION (MDL)?

When multiple lawsuits with similar claims from different states and/or federal courts are transferred to a single federal court before a single judge. While a class action lawsuit utilizes one plaintiff or a small group of plaintiffs to bring claims on behalf of an entire Class, MDL (s) are individual groups of lawsuits that are heard in a single court. In an MDL each individual lawsuit is a single plaintiff seeking damages for his or her specific injuries.

CAN I BE BOUND BY A SETTLEMENT THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT?

If a class action lawsuit results in declaratory or injunctive relief (a court order for the defendant to stop a specified act or behavior) instead of monetary damages, the parties may not be required to provide notice of the litigation to Class Members, and they may not be able to opt out of the litigation. Even if you did not know about the existence of a class action lawsuit, you may be prohibited from taking legal action against the defendant over the same legal issues that were resolved in the case.
